False Alarm Reduction Program/Cryewolf

Alarm System Registration

In an effort to reduce false alarms, many municipalities in the state of Georgia require burglar or fire alarm systems to obtain an alarm registration permit.

It is your responsibility to comply with these requirements. If you fail to do so, the municipality could delay or refuse to dispatch emergency personnel and/or assess you with fines.

No later than five (5) business days following the installation of any burglar or fire alarm system, the alarm user shall obtain an alarm permit by registering through CryWolf per each county. The following information is required:

  • The complete name, address, and phone number of the alarm user.
  • The names of all persons authorized to enter the premises and deactivate the alarm system signal as well as all phone numbers at which such persons can be reached.
  • The name and telephone number of the alarm user’s monitoring agent and the name and telephone number of the company which installed the alarm system.

Please contact your local municipality with any questions regarding alarm registration and user permits.
